About Us


YPAA—Yavneh Parents Association & Auxiliary

 

Every parent can play a part in YPAA—by becoming a member, attending programs and events, or volunteering to help. Whatever amount of time you can offer, YPAA has a way for you to get involved.

Student and Family Programs & Events

  • Back to School BBQ—A festive way to kick off the school year.
  • Lower Grade Breakfast—For children in grades pre-k through 2nd & their families.
  • Book Fair—Held in conjunction with the Lower Grade Breakfast & during school hours.
  • Purim Chagigah—A festive Purim party after megillah reading on Purim night.
  • Mishloach Manot—One of our biggest fundraisers of the year.

 

Adult Programs & Events

  • New Parent Dessert & Orientation—Welcome new families to the Yavneh community.
  • Supper Quiz—A fun-filled evening for adults featuring a team trivia contest.
  • Book Dinners & Cooking Classes—Opportunities to get together with other parents.
  • Class Meet & Greets—Meet the parents of your child’s classmates in a social setting.
  • Mom’s Night Out—A fun evening for women.

 

Student Services

  • Gifts for Students—Welcome gifts to early childhood students and Bar/Bat Mitzvah gifts.
  • Holiday Treats—Throughout the year YPAA sponsors treats to celebrate Jewish holidays.
  • Class Trips & Programs—YPAA helps fund a range of programs, including Author Day and performing arts activities.
  • Books, Equipment & Supplies—YPAA purchases supplementary material for the school.

 

Administrative Services

  • Faculty & Staff Appreciation—YPAA collects funds for and distributes Chanukah and end-of-year gifts.
  • Parent Representation—YPAA presidents serve on Yavneh’s Board of Directors and Board of Education.
  • Publications—YPAA creates the annual school directory and calendar.
  • Parent Volunteers—YPAA volunteers assist with various important school services and activities, such as class pictures, school plays, and the Israel Day Parade.

 

Additional Fundraising Activities

  • Yavneh Clothing & Merchandise—Sale of Yavneh logo clothing and accessories.
  • Pesach Candy Sale—An easy way to raise funds for the school.
  • Box Tops for Education—A national fundraising program.
  • Donation Cards—Can be sent to wish a mazal tov or offer condolences.
